BALANCE HAPPINESS
HAPPINESS MAPS FOR GROWTH
HAPPINESS MAP Â 3RD - 4TH GRADE
Children of this age range focus on stories, cause and effect, and the difference between boundaries and rules. Using illustrations in a story book style and inviting them to draw, children are asked deeper questions about how well they are fitting in their world.
HAPPINESS MAP Â 5TH - 8TH GRADE
With the adult mind just beginning to bud, youths are encouraged to be curious and experiment with their concepts of self, freedom and courage. These moments of the mind are captured as they draw maps between relationships to concepts and challenges of how to "be".
DEVELOPMENT
Happy development means developing uniquely; growing means discovering. We discover best when happy and grow the most when we discover our own uniqueness without judgement. Easier said than done.
Happiness Maps ease the job. By comparing each child only to themselves, Happiness Maps speed recognizing: distress, when a child needs guidance, and points to where the child is most receptive for change, challenge and growth. For example:

...a child suddenly afraid of sleeping ( a clear warning sign ) will welcome help related to fear of sleeping...

Happiness Maps are designed be given at the beginning of the school year with a counselor, school nurse, parent or teacher and serve as a touch stone and given again when issues are suspected. The comparison helps identify distress or when things are progressing just right through out the year!
Do you have a unique challenge? Consider classes or collaborating with Balance Happiness to gain clarity and direction on your specific situation.

The Happiness Maps are a rewarding way to watch children and solutions grow because the Happiness Maps measure happiness! And everyone wants to watch that!
